“Go deeper into your heart energy to activate the love energy and put the love energy into action through forgiveness. When you forgive, aches and pains start to disappear. This is healing at the physical level…… Once you change your emotion from the negative into the positive, you change your body ……into a healing mode. The more forgiveness you have in your system, the more quickly you can help yourself …. You unlock the power of Love through Forgiveness to help yourself to heal, to heal your physical body, to heal your emotions, and to heal your spirit.”

February is a significant month! It is the month of Valentine’s Day, American Heart Month, and National Cancer Prevention Month. Focusing on the scene in the restaurant with this couple embodies the feeling that they are in a moment of joy, deep connection, good health and love. This is something that we all hope to experience, and most do at some point in their lives. Along life’s journeys, there are also moments of disagreement, hurt, misunderstanding, and deep pain. As many of you, I am sure have experienced, the gateway to healing ourselves as well as the relationship with the other is through the heart.
With that said, how do we access and activate these healing modalities? As I have been told, the two most powerful forces for healing are unconditional love and forgiveness. Easy to say, and yet, hard to put into practice in this earthly life. Unconditional love and forgiveness are practiced many times in loving relationships. It is very easy to feel a strong attraction to another. It is much more difficult to practice Forgiveness and Unconditional love when we feel unheard, disrespected, hurt, yelled at or threatened. There is no stronger motivation, however, to practice these two healing modalities than when we are sick, hurting or have a significant health challenge
While we will all face physical health challenges in our lifetime, these health challenges can often impact our emotions too. I have seen this with many different medical conditions as our stress levels can affect our physical self, resulting in physical and emotional dis-ease.
So how do we do that? I can share what my mentors have taught me as well as how they have changed my life. For many years, I harbored anger related to situations that I felt hurt and traumatized. I wanted to let go but wasn’t sure how to do that. I went on with my life, but the anger would bubble up every once in a while, impacting on my peace of mind and spirit. About 35 years ago I started doing Mindfulness Meditation which helped me tremendously and calmed my mind which in turn also helped to calm my heart and spirit whenever I practiced it, which was almost every day. About 14 years ago, I was introduced to another practice called Spring Forest Qigong. I would describe it as Meditation in motion as well as a Mindset for inner peace and healing. It was another tool in my toolbox to help my body to let go of the anger, to forgive and to heal and, since starting this practice,
I can now say that my heart is healed. It has allowed me to be open to the Happy, Joyful and Loving relationships in my life. There are many healing practices. Along with Meditation and Qigong, there is Yoga, Tai Chi and Prayer. I hope that you have one that helps you with the two most powerful healing practices in our life-Unconditional Love and Forgiveness.
